Hello Dear Reader,

We’re so happy to walk together on this journey of hope. Learning, imagining, reflecting, digesting…all these are responses to the words we write and read. Would you be up for a little experiment this month? Instead of us writing in prose, let’s shift our listening to the stanzas of poetry. Let’s give ourselves to moments of music that can slip past our well-thought-out words and perhaps touch emotions we sometimes don’t have words for. I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get tired of words. And with our topic of gratitude in this season of thanksgiving, it seems like a good time to try something new. Each week we’ll provide a question or two to jumpstart our imagination or help corral wandering thoughts. But remember…as G.K. Chesterton said, “Not all who wander are lost.”

May your heart be open and your imaginations unleashed as we move together into the poet’s realm.

Warmly,

Jeanni Shepherd

My Grateful Heart by Curran Reichert

“My grateful heart, so filled with living, memories flow by me like paddles on a stream.” If you were to take 5 minutes or so letting your mind wander over the course of your life, what memories flow by? How do you feel about them?

What is a dream you have that is waiting to be illumined…seen…born?

What would you like to say to God about these things?
