Yohanan & Rachel Rempt
Ministry Essentials Associate Staff
Our Story:
Both children of pastors, Yohanan and Rachel grew up seeing firsthand the joys and challenges of leadership and ministry. Their heart’s desire is to help leaders thrive in who God has created them to be and what He has called and gifted them to do.
Yohanan and Rachel served with Youth With a Mission in Europe and around the world for many years before partnering with MEI. Yohanan worked in discipleship, leadership development, healthy team dynamics, debriefing and staff care in Switzerland, Bosnia, Hungary, and the UK. He and Rachel met at Wheaton College Graduate School where they both earned an MA in Intercultural Studies. Yohanan graduated with an emphasis in Leadership Development and Rachel with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation.
After their marriage in 2008, they continued to serve in Europe with YWAM. Yohanan served as regional leader for YWAM in the 16 countries of Central Europe as well as overseeing the health and development of pioneering teams and teaching about healthy relationships and life purpose with Rachel. Rachel also worked with women in trauma. Rachel is currently a women’s fiction author, writing uplifting novels about strong women facing big challenges with hope and courage. They have been blessed with two wonderful children who keep them on their toes. The Rempt family now resides in beautiful Seattle, Washington where they enjoy hiking and camping as a family in their campervan Miles, playing board games, reading, hospitality, watching movies, and having great conversations over tasty food.
Our Ministry:
Yohanan & Rachel serve through debriefing, leadership consulting, creative facilitation and conversations, and outdoor retreats, helping leaders live fully and minister well.
